I studied English at California State University, Fullerton with an emphasis in “teaching English as a second language” TESOL. I spent a summer studying at the Private University of Guadalajara “Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara” as part of my degree requirement. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in 1995 and graduated with my Master of Arts degree in 1998. It is in English with an emphasis in “Language, Writing, and Rhetoric,” a specialized degree for writers and teachers of writing.
I went on to earn my teaching credential and have been a public elementary school teacher since 1997. I’ve been trained in Microsoft Office and attended other trainings in web development, html, php, and Javascript. I am well versed in blogging and web copy. I am always challenging myself to learn new skills in the freelance industry. For example, recently I attended a seminar/class on making real estate websites for a client.
