Mediocre Housewife Checking In

line Mediocre Housewife Checking In

For any of you wondering why I have been MIA, I have just been completely overwhelmed with school, family, multiple state exams coming back to back, and house stuff. Oddly enough I don’t think I excel at any of the above, which has left me questioning the following…”if a tree falls in the woods and no one is around to hear, does it still make a sound?”or likewise “if you clean your house but no one visits to witness it, was it ever really so?” Here is a photo of my kitchen & living room before and after cleaning this weekend:

Now here is a photo today:

It baffles me how quickly this happens, but even more puzzling is how I fail to notice the tornado until it has passed. I have stopped to blog once or twice amongst the storms, however it ceases to seem entertaining. Therefore if I continue to go MIA, it is truly an attempt on my part to spare you of the less-than-entertaining aspects of a mediocre housewives monotonous day.

  1. We must have been sharing a brain. I just posted something almost identical! Maybe it’s in the air.

  2. I totally know what you mean. Check out the blog I just finished writing. Sounds like we’re having the same breakdown–LOL! Glad to know I’m not the only one. I get so embarrassed when someone comes over unannounced. Even if I’ve spent the whole day cleaning, there’s always at least one room that’s a mess!

  3. How very humble to call yourself a mediocre housewife. I don’t think there’s many who do as much as you!

your mediocre house husband ;) Now that moniker is is on the money!

  4. *just sayin* I see a great big foot in the last picture. It seems to be doing… oh, nothing. Um, is that foot attached to an adult that could maybe help out with a bit of damage control when the tornado strikes?

I just looked up at the comment before mine. *waves to Damien* um, Hi. So how about it? You can only be a ‘mediocre house husband’ if you choose to be!

Overwhelmed is no fun. I’m glad you posted, I was beginning to wonder where you’d gone.

Thanks Harlekwin, You had me laughing out loud! I did consider editing out the foot, but it fit so well since hubby is a 24 hour a day blogger, lol. Rest assured if I insisted on it dh would help out more, but it works much better to sick him on the kids when I can :)

  8. The same thing happens at my house. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother to straighten up or clean anything in the first place because within 30 minutes, it all seems to be back.
