Thursday Thirteen
(Shoot over to Boho Rhap for more AWESOME Thursday Thirteen Banners)
They say that life is what happens while you’re busy making other plans. This should actually be the theme of my existence since most of the big events in my life, including my husband and two of my children, have happened on a whim without much planning. It occurred to me when trying to think of a Thursday Thirteen that before Summer begins next year many exciting events are on their way. So as Summer is coming to an end I am dedicating this post to the most exciting events that I’m planning on. It remains to be seen which events didn’t make the list.
1. Halloween- I love dressing my kids in ridiculous outfits and walking blocks in the windy outdoors til’ our noses are red and runny and we come home to hand out candy to the miniature ghost’s and princesses.
2. Becoming the parent of only ONE child in diapers as the aging two year old is finally reaching a milestone.
3. Getting my tubes tied (no more birth control, condoms, or calender watching…yippeee)!
4. Going to Las Vegas to celebrate my 5 year anniversary (which is where we tied the knot).
5. Celebrating all of the major first holidays for our newest addition (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter).
6. Traveling through all of the above mentioned holidays not having to serve the miserable grumpy guests who seem offended by holiday cheer (as it would seem I am definitely through waiting tables
)
7. Hubby has recently taught me 3 chords on the guitar, so with all hope in less than a year I will actually be able to play a recognizable tune.
8. Christmas- need I say more?
9. Finishing my BA (after taking 12 years, it is about time),
10. Trading in this:
for this:
(probably more like wishful thinking, but surely with in a year it should be possible)
11. Taking leaps and bounds toward fixing little man’s crooked teeth
12. Starting my credential Program in June
13. Last but not least…if my schedule permits, I will be teaching in a class of my own by August 2008

Great list. Happy TT!
That’s a lot of stuff to look forward to!!! I just love it when everything in life seems to be going forward and positive.
I’m a big TV person and your new TV looks awesome! When do you get it?
And…I know all about crooked teeth…starting braces for the last three kids now. YIKES! Little Daughter really needs it bad…..
So glad you’re posting again! I was missing ya!!
Jessica
Congrats on the diaper situation! That has to be a big help!
Rock Chick: As soon as we can save up since we don’t want another installment payment, or when we finish paying off the orthodontist, lol.
Starrlight: Almost there, and yes it will be a great help
Thanks for stopping by.
That is a lot of great things happening, no wonder you smile so much in your photos. And all this time I thought it was over Damien, grin.

Oh how I love Halloween! I can’t wait! I’ve got a birthday party for my little dude to deal with first though. He’s turning two.
Oooh, I’d like to plan a Las Vegas trip, too!
Good Luck i hope you get todo all you want to.
Well, that’s a list with more in it to feel good about than the reverse. Pre-congratulations on the 5 year anniversary, the teaching job, and the other good prospects…
Good luck with all of those!
*squee* Thank you for using one of the banners I made, Sarah! It made me bounce in my chair!
So, um which knot did you tie in Las Vegas? The love knot or #3
Which ever one, they’re both reason for celebration!!!
Three chords, wow, you’re on your way to rock stardom! Jimmy Paige was a late bloomer.
I really enjoyed reading your list. What a busy, busy life you have. One day you’ll look back and think ‘remember when…’
And why is it people are so freakin’ grumpy during the holidays? I have a crafts oriented store. People wait until the last minute, want the impossible for no money, then pitch a conniption like their procrastination was someone else’s fault. OK, I think I’m off topic here. Oh, no I’m not, you mentioned waiting tables during the holidays. Same diff.
Happy TT! Thank you for the link, too! *WooT* My Technorati rankings are likely in the low 40′s by now!!! That’s a good thing.
It’s so very important as mothers not to forget our own hopes, dreams, and desires. We somehow get lost in the shadows, but it seems you’re making a point to be noticed in the goals you’ve put to paper/post.
You’re an inspiration to the tired mothers over 40. Keep on keepin’ on!
I’m popping in to let you know I’ve tagged you for a meme. Come on over for the details.
Wow… I thought I had a lot going on. Congratulations… on everything. You have a lot to be proud of.
